Work Package Manager

About the role

The Work Package Manager will lead the planning, execution and closure of defined work packages within complex projects at Thales Solutions Asia. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will ensure deliverables are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed work package descriptions, identify deliverables, milestones and inter‑dependencies.
• Establish schedules, cost structures and resource profiles, aligning them with the master project schedule.
• Initiate and maintain risk and opportunity registers, and manage baseline changes.
• Lead the execution of work packages, monitoring progress, addressing deviations and managing change requests.
• Consolidate deliverables, update schedules, and produce regular status reports for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure quality of all outputs, manage configuration items and oversee supplier commitments.
• Liaise with Engineering Delivery Managers, Project Managers and functional heads to maintain schedule coherence.
• Manage subcontractors, contingent labour and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing work packages or comparable project components in an engineering or technology environment.
• Strong ability to lead cross‑functional teams and coordinate with suppliers.
• Experience conducting project reviews, risk management and change control.
• Capability to produce clear documentation, dashboards and progress presentations.
