Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator – Construction

About the role

The Workplace Safety Health Coordinator will support LBD Engineering’s construction projects by ensuring compliance with Singapore’s Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations and internal management systems. This junior‑level position involves on‑site inspections, incident investigations, and safety training for staff.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety & Health Act, regulations, and the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Conduct routine site checks to identify non‑compliance, unsafe conditions, and unsafe practices.
• Assist in investigations of site accidents and near‑miss events.
• Deliver safety briefings, inductions, orientations, and emergency drills as required.
• Provide advice on specific instances of non‑compliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of improvement actions to enhance WSH performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in building or civil construction, preferably on HDB projects.
• Energetic, self‑driven, and results‑oriented with strong interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health / Safety Coordinator Course (Level B).
• WSH Coordinator Refresher Training (WCRT) completed.
• Proficient understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
