3rd Party Manufacturer Production Planner

About the role

3M is hiring a 3rd Party Manufacturer Production Planner in Woodlands, Singapore. The role manages end-to-end supply chain planning and product flow to meet customer and business requirements, covering materials planning, purchasing, manufacturing planning, inventory and capacity management, and supply chain optimization across manufacturing and distribution locations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement and manufacturing plans based on customer demand, forecasts and capacity requirements.
• Monitor and optimize material flow, inventory buffers, replenishment parameters and production schedules.
• Analyse short- and mid-term capacity, equipment loading and resource requirements.
• Monitor and report key supply chain metrics such as customer service, inventory, cycle time, forecast accuracy and schedule attainment.
• Lead supply chain analysis, including inventory/buffer management, material flow, capacity planning, distribution and information flow.
• Conduct what-if analysis and develop short- and long-term solutions to address supply chain constraints and service issues.
• Support the implementation of planning tools and IT solutions, and identify and support IT and planning system requirements and improvements.
• Partner with the business unit to identify opportunities, influence supply chain strategy and deliver measurable results, and lead planning projects while providing training and guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Production/Operations Management, Materials Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
• 5-9 years of relevant supply chain, materials or production planning experience.
• APICS certification required or to be completed within an agreed timeframe.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
