Accountant – Financial Reporting & Data Analysis

About the role

Finalto is looking for a meticulous Accountant to manage full‑set accounting, financial reporting and data‑driven analysis. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting strategic decisions across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain full‑set accounting records, delivering accurate and timely financial reports.
• Process client deposit and withdrawal transactions and perform daily bank reconciliations in line with ASIC regulations.
• Reconcile client equity balances across internal systems, trading platforms and bank accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Generate intercompany invoices following transfer‑pricing rules and internal cost‑allocation policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and address any audit issues promptly.
• Work with tax agents to ensure local tax compliance, timely filing and effective tax risk management.
• Conduct financial performance analysis, including profit & loss, cost management and variance analysis, and present insights to senior management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and monitor annual budgets.
• Utilise advanced Excel, VBA, Python or SQL to automate processes, handle large data sets and improve reporting efficiency.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and process inefficiencies to ensure smooth month‑end close.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in full‑set accounting, financial reporting and data analysis.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
