About the role

Fleet Ship Management is seeking an Accountant to support daily vessel accounting operations, including accounts receivable/payable, fund transfers, and preparation of full‑set accounts. The role works closely with internal finance teams and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting for a diverse fleet of vessels.

Key responsibilities

• Handle vessel accounting and portage bill accounting.
• Raise fund requests to vessel owners and monitor receipts.
• Prepare full‑set vessel reports with supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with other functions to meet reporting deadlines.
• Respond to queries from vessel owners regarding reports.
• Assist in reconciliation of inter‑company vessel balances.
• Provide MIS data related to vessel reports to supervisors and head office.
• Support SOX audit activities and ad‑hoc finance assignments.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in vessel or maritime accounting.
• Graduate or higher diploma in Accountancy, Business, or equivalent.
• Effective decision‑making, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.
