Accounting Assistant Manager

About the role

Our client, a well‑established international services firm in Singapore, is expanding its finance function and seeks an Accounting Assistant Manager. You will lead full‑spectrum accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the month‑end closing process and prepare timely financial statements.
• Maintain full sets of accounts, including general ledger entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Handle Singapore tax and statutory requirements such as GST filings, corporate tax and regulatory submissions.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks and corporate secretarial partners.
• Oversee payroll processing and statutory contributions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Assist in quarterly consolidation, year‑end closing and audit preparation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and company policies.
• Prepare management reports and perform financial analysis for decision‑making.
• Supervise a junior accounts team member and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience handling full sets of accounts and month‑end close.
• Hands‑on experience with Singapore tax compliance, including GST and statutory reporting.
• Strong understanding of IFRS or GAAP.
• Experience liaising with auditors and managing year‑end audit processes.
• Exposure to payroll processing and statutory contributions is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Required skills

• SAP (or similar ERP system) familiarity.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting standards.
• Singapore GST and corporate tax compliance.
