Accounts Assistant / Executive (5‑month Maternity Cover)

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant / Executive to provide 5‑month maternity cover for our finance team. This temporary position will support day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate invoicing, collections, and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare audit confirmations for debtors, banks, and suppliers.
• Issue and record AR invoices (customer and inter‑company) in Oracle.
• Maintain debtor records, generate statements, and chase outstanding payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and prepare AR receipt vouchers.
• Process AP invoices, verify details against quotations, and create payment vouchers in Oracle.
• Allocate AR/AP transactions, reconcile creditor statements, and support month‑end closing.
• Coordinate with internal teams for inter‑company activities and external auditors.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and compliance filing.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting or finance qualification.
• Experience in accounts receivable and payable processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills for liaising with internal and external parties.
