Actuarial Modeling Manager

About the role

HSBC Life Singapore is seeking a high‑calibre professional to lead actuarial model development and governance. As Manager, Modeling (Actuarial) you will ensure models meet risk policies and support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop actuarial models and ensure compliance with model risk policies and controls.
• Provide modelling support and subject‑matter expertise to actuarial teams.
• Review and challenge model methodologies, assumptions, outputs and associated risks.
• Drive efficiency improvements across actuarial models, tools and processes.
• Support effective model governance, documentation, monitoring and issue remediation.

Required profile

• Qualified or close‑to‑qualified actuary with membership of a recognised actuarial examination body.
• Strong relevant actuarial experience, preferably with hands‑on actuarial modelling and stochastic valuation.
• Knowledge of Prophet software is highly preferred.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem‑solving skills with sound actuarial judgement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
