Actuary - IFRS 17, Pricing & Strategy (Life)

About the role

A global insurer's regional office, recruited through Gravitas Recruitment Group, is looking for an experienced Actuary to join its Life Actuarial, IFRS and Strategy team in Singapore. The role works directly with Group Companies across Asia on IFRS 17 performance, pricing endorsement and strategic initiatives, within a regional office setting.

Key responsibilities

• IFRS 17 performance review, product endorsement and strategic initiatives with Life Group Companies across the region
• Review and endorse new product and enhancement proposals, focusing on key pricing metrics and product risk
• Review monthly and quarterly IFRS results and business performance, analysing the drivers behind CSM movements and P&L
• Support the regional KPI framework, including business plan review, performance analysis and monitoring of distribution and medical loss ratios
• Review and endorse reinsurance treaties and experience studies
• Provide technical support and guidance across Life Group Companies

Required profile

• 6 to 10 years of experience in the actuarial industry, with exposure to pricing, product development and IFRS 17
• Proven experience in profitability metrics such as VNB, CSM, breakeven period and new business strain
• Experience in IFRS 17 reporting, performance analysis or pricing-stage CSM assessment is highly advantageous
