Adjunct Lecturer – Bahasa Melayu (Term 1, AY2026‑2027)

About the role

The College of Integrative Studies at Singapore Management University seeks a part‑time Adjunct Lecturer to deliver the undergraduate course COR‑MLAY2405 Bahasa Melayu for Term 1 of the academic year 2026‑2027. This term‑based appointment is designed for experienced educators who can engage tertiary students in Malay language instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials and assessment activities for the Bahasa Melayu course.
• Develop course materials, including syllabi, reading lists and multimedia resources.
• Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes and examinations, providing timely feedback.
• Maintain academic standards and adhere to SMU’s teaching policies.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience teaching Bahasa Melayu at the tertiary level.
• Possession of a Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant discipline.
• Strong communication skills and ability to foster an interactive learning environment.
