About the role

AI Singapore is seeking an AI Engineer to join the Platform team within AI Products. Based at Nanyang Technological University, you will design, build, and scale the data infrastructure that powers large‑language‑model training, fine‑tuning, evaluation, and retrieval‑augmented generation across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a scalable data architecture for AI workloads.
• Define and manage the data technology stack, evaluating new tools as needs evolve.
• Build automation for data transfer, backup, and support cataloging/discovery tools.
• Design batch and streaming pipelines using AWS Glue and Amazon EMR.
• Architect and govern organization‑wide IAM policies, including SCPs, cross‑account roles, and permission boundaries.
• Review and optimise data access patterns for performance and cost.
• Create analytics and dashboards with Amazon Athena and QuickSight.
• Leverage AI assistants (Claude, Copilot, Cursor) to improve operational efficiency and build internal tools.

Required profile

• Hands‑on engineer who enjoys building robust infrastructure and user‑friendly tools.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of experience in data infrastructure, platform, or systems engineering with production‑scale operations.
