Airfreight Operations Manager

About the role

DP World is looking for an experienced Airfreight Operations Manager to lead its Air Operations team. The role will ensure smooth day‑to‑day air freight execution, maintain high service standards and drive continuous improvement across key trade lanes such as the USA, Southeast Asia and China.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily air freight operations, ensuring shipments are processed accurately and meet customer requirements.
• Lead, coach and schedule the Air Operations team to achieve productivity targets.
• Provide operational guidance for CargoWise system enhancements and process optimisation.
• Handle customer enquiries, escalations and service issues related to air freight.
• Manage vendor relationships involved in cargo handling and support cost‑saving initiatives.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness.
• Train and develop team members to raise operational capability and service standards.

Required profile

• Strong experience in air freight operations within freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain.
• Previous experience managing or supervising an air operations team.
• Familiarity with key trade lanes – USA, Southeast Asia and China – is an advantage.
• Mandarin speaking and writing ability preferred for communication with China‑based stakeholders.
