Analytics Specialist, Distribution

About the role

Prudential is looking for a Senior Analyst / Analytics Specialist for Distribution. The role builds and maintains business-critical dashboards, develops semantic models in Power BI and extracts and validates data from DataHub using SQL. It is a hands-on position focused on enabling data-driven decisions in the Distribution team, improving analytics capability and reducing reliance on manual reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards covering Distribution performance, sales tracking, incentives and compensation analysis, and improve their usability and adoption.
• Develop and maintain the underlying semantic models in Power BI for data consistency and accuracy.
• Write and optimise SQL queries to extract data from DataHub and other sources, validate and reconcile data, and run UAT on dashboards built by the central analytics team.
• Identify opportunities to automate data extraction and validation.
• Partner with Distribution leaders to turn business needs into analytics solutions, and give ad-hoc analysis supporting commercial planning and channel performance.
• Proactively find and fix data, reporting or process issues.
• Share best practice and train colleagues on Power BI and data extraction, acting as a subject matter expert.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building dashboards and semantic models in Power BI.
• Experience working with business stakeholders to turn requirements into analytics solutions.
• Experience in insurance, financial services or distribution analytics is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL with proven experience extracting and manipulating data from large databases (Databricks or similar).
• Strong data validation, reconciliation and documentation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
