Android Developer

About the role

Avensys is seeking an Android Developer to join a client project on a 1‑year renewable contract. You will be responsible for building and maintaining high‑quality Android applications that meet business requirements and deliver an excellent user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements, design, develop, test and support Android mobile applications.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, efficient code.
• Write reusable, high‑performance Java/Kotlin code and ensure application responsiveness.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and memory issues.
• Maintain code quality through proper organization, version control and automation.
• Deploy releases and support post‑live production environments.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience in Android development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, multiple Android versions and diverse screen sizes.
• Experience with offline storage, threading and performance tuning.
