Android Engineer Graduate – Global Payments

About the role

Join the Global Payment team to develop client‑side capabilities for TikTok Pay, e‑commerce checkout, and AI‑driven features. As a graduate you will work on bold ideas, complex challenges, and fast‑paced growth while committing to an onboarding date by year‑end.

Key responsibilities

• Develop client‑side checkout solutions that handle cross‑country payment rules, multiple payment methods, and complex business scenarios.
• Build highly reliable, highly available checkout experiences to improve transaction success rates, user payment experience, and system stability.
• Contribute to TikTok Pay wallet development, including account systems, fund management, local wallet integrations, and compliance across multiple countries.
• Participate in checkout architecture governance, focusing on dynamic rendering, componentization, container capabilities, performance optimization, and stability improvements.
• Explore and apply AI techniques for code generation, workflow automation, and intelligent payment decision making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, OS, and networking.
• Strong coding habits, problem‑solving ability, and self‑motivation to understand business logic and technical details.
• Good communication and collaboration skills to clearly convey problems, progress, and risks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
• Experience with Android SDK, UI rendering, lifecycle management, threading model, networking, and data storage.
• Familiarity with cross‑platform development using KMP/CMP.
• Basic knowledge of AI‑assisted development such as code generation and automated test generation.
• Understanding of Android architecture components and performance optimization.
