Android Mobile Developer – Software Engineer

About the role

Thales Singapore Engineering Competence Centre is looking for an Android Mobile Developer to join its Digital Payment business line. The role focuses on building and maintaining a mobile SDK and applications that enable secure proximity and e‑commerce payments for banks and businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the design, implementation, and validation of mobile SDKs and applications within the R&D team.
• Contribute to the improvement of the existing technology platform through prototyping and patent proposals.
• Provide troubleshooting and Level‑3 support for customers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with delivery standards and processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Security, Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Approximately 5 years of professional experience in mobile technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Android core platform technologies.
• Motivated self‑starter with strong logical and analytical problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Android development using Java and Kotlin.
• Experience with native development (a plus).
• Understanding of object‑oriented design and unit testing.
• Familiarity with test automation.
• Experience with continuous integration and build automation tools such as Jenkins and Gradle.
