APAC Senior/Assistant General Counsel, Construction and Infrastructure

About the role

Micron is expanding its advanced manufacturing footprint across Asia Pacific and is looking for a Senior/Assistant General Counsel for Global Operations in construction and infrastructure. This is a high-impact role acting as a strategic legal partner to large-scale capital projects, supporting the development and delivery of complex industrial and manufacturing facilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, driving commercially practical solutions across multiple APAC jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end legal support for major capital projects across APAC, from early development and procurement strategy through contracting, execution, claims and closeout.
• Draft and negotiate complex agreements, including EPC/EPCM, design-build, construction management, consulting, procurement and supply contracts.
• Advise on project risks and strategy, including delay exposure, change orders, performance security, defects and warranty, and dispute avoidance and resolution.
• Partner with business stakeholders such as procurement, engineering and project teams to structure tenders, manage risk and develop contracting templates and playbooks.
• Support regional project development matters, including land, permitting and regulatory coordination with local counsel.
• Manage external counsel across APAC and track legal and regulatory developments, translating them into practical guidance for project teams.
• Use AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and quality, and share AI-enabled improvements with colleagues.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 8+ years of experience, with strong experience in construction, infrastructure or major capital projects (EPC/EPCM preferred).
• Ability to support cross-border APAC matters.
• Proven track record advising on complex industrial or technical projects, with hands-on experience on live projects (delays, claims, variations, disputes).
• Familiarity with FIDIC or equivalent frameworks, including security of payment and adjudication regimes, and broader APAC construction law practices.
