About the role

Synopsys Singapore is seeking a Staff Engineer in Applications Engineering to lead high‑level technical support for its optics and photonics simulation tools. You will act as a bridge between customers, channel partners, and product development, ensuring the successful adoption of Ansys Lumerical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert technical assistance on optics and photonics simulation to customers and partners.
• Own customer issues from identification through resolution, guiding key accounts throughout the sales lifecycle.
• Design and deliver introductory, intermediate and advanced training sessions and professional services projects.
• Collect customer requirements and market trends, feeding insights back to product teams for new feature development.
• Test new software releases on real‑world industrial problems and supply feedback to improve performance and usability.
• Participate in internal knowledge‑sharing initiatives and establish best practices.

Required profile

• Passionate engineer with deep theoretical and practical knowledge of optics and photonics.
• Strong communication skills, able to engage engineers, managers and C‑suite executives.
• Self‑motivated, proactive problem‑solver with a sense of ownership.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to a fast‑paced, innovative environment.
