Assistant Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to maintain the general ledger, manage accounts payable and receivable, and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities for our finance team in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare accurate journal entries.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Perform month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including reconciliations and financial schedules.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for business units and management.
• Compile and submit half‑yearly consolidation packages.
• Handle statutory reporting, audit coordination, income tax and GST submissions.
• Liaise with corporate secretarial agents for statutory filings and compliance matters.
• Coordinate with bankers on banking facilities and financial matters.

Required profile

• Recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) or relevant degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure with strong attention to detail.
