Assistant Banquet Manager

About the role

The Assistant Banquet Manager supports the Event Manager in delivering seamless banquet and event experiences. You will ensure that service standards are met, guests receive courteous and professional attention, and internal teams collaborate effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Event Manager in planning and executing events according to the concept statement.
• Provide courteous, professional, and flexible service to guests and internal customers.
• Handle guest and internal complaints, following through to satisfactory resolution.
• Monitor events during peak periods to ensure smooth operation and associate performance.
• Support the preparation and regular update of the Event Service departmental budget with the Director of Food & Beverage.
• Maintain organized storage areas for audio‑visual equipment, props, and banquet supplies.
• Assist in creating and posting weekly work schedules aligned with business needs.
• Ensure compliance with hotel, company, and local fire, safety, and security regulations.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an Assistant Manager or Team Leader in banquet service.
• Strong communication and customer‑relation abilities.
• Proven problem‑solving and exceptional customer service skills.
• Leadership qualities with professional presentation.
• Positive, can‑do attitude.
