Assistant Bar Manager

About the role

The Assistant Bar Manager will support the Bar Manager in delivering exceptional service to VIP guests and driving revenue through promotional activities. This senior‑level role involves overseeing daily operations, managing costs, and ensuring high standards of hygiene across all bar outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute promotional activities to increase revenue and guest traffic.
• Control beverage costs, operating expenses, inventory, and payroll.
• Ensure outstanding service for VIP guests and during special events.
• Monitor performance standards of direct reports and hold managers accountable.
• Prepare financial, business operating, and capital expenditure plans aligned with property strategy.
• Enforce high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout bar areas.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand operational flows.
• Recommend appointments, promotions, and development for team members.
• Support the General Manager’s objectives through proactive outlet management.
• Minimize wastage, improve productivity, and maintain profit margins.
• Oversee cashiering procedures in compliance with accounting standards.
• Handle guest comments, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Manage HR responsibilities, including hiring, training, performance feedback, and compliance.
• Coordinate inventory ordering for food, beverage, supplies, and equipment.
• Participate in pre‑shift and departmental meetings with GM/Bar Manager.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Restaurant/Bar Management or extensive F&B experience.
• Minimum 7 years of managerial experience in a 5‑star hotel or deluxe restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of beverage preparation and service.
• Willingness to work any day as required.
