Assistant Barbeque Chef – Chinese Roast Kitchen

About the role

PARKROYAL on Beach Road is seeking an Assistant Barbeque Chef to support the Chinese Roast Kitchen. You will work closely with the Barbeque Chef to develop and deliver innovative Cantonese and Sichuan BBQ dishes, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Barbeque Chef in supervising the Chinese Roast Kitchen, overseeing preparation and presentation according to SOPs and menu guidelines.
• Monitor production standards to maintain the highest level of food quality.
• Control food cost by tracking usage and waste.
• Contribute to concept ideas and menu development for special events and functions, encouraging team input.
• Implement HACCP and hygiene standards at all times.
• Provide on‑the‑job training for culinary colleagues and promote a safe, healthy work environment.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Cantonese culinary techniques and products.
• Excellent people‑management skills to build positive relationships with associates.
• Strong operational presence and ability to work independently.
• Self‑starter with a proactive attitude.
