Assistant Cook

About the role

The Assistant Cook supports the kitchen team by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and assisting the Cook with food preparation and ingredient handling. This role is essential for ensuring smooth kitchen operations across all locations in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with cleaning, cutting, chopping, and peeling ingredients.
• Clean and sanitise food preparation areas in line with hygiene and safety standards.
• Wash, disinfect, and store kitchen utensils and equipment properly.
• Receive, weigh, store, and manage inventory of food supplies.
• Operate kitchen appliances such as cutters, knives, mixers, and ovens.
• Maintain orderly storerooms and assist with unloading deliveries.
• Participate in initiatives to improve service quality and productivity.

Required profile

• Ability to work shifts and adapt to a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.

Required skills

• Food preparation techniques (cleaning, cutting, chopping, peeling).
• Operating kitchen appliances (cutters, knives, mixers, ovens).
• Inventory management and stock handling.
• Preparation of North Indian cuisine.
