About the role
The Graduate College at NTU is seeking an Assistant Director to lead capability development initiatives that support its strategic goals. The role involves providing analytical and advisory inputs, developing data‑driven business cases, and coordinating Industry Relevant Programme (IRP) projects with external partners.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality analytical and advisory inputs to support Graduate College strategic initiatives.
- Develop data‑driven business cases, concept papers, and reports for senior management review.
- Conduct benchmarking, environmental scans and trend analysis relevant to postgraduate education and research capability.
- Synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative data into evidence‑based recommendations aligned with university priorities.
- Support senior stakeholders by translating strategic intent into actionable analytical insights.
- Lead and support the development and facilitation of Industry Relevant Programme (IRP) initiatives.
- Coordinate design and development of selected IRP proposals with industry partners within approved frameworks.
- Serve as Programme Lead for assigned IRP initiatives, overseeing planning, milestone tracking, deliverables, and issue resolution.
- Facilitate cross‑school collaboration to ensure academic alignment, programme relevance, and consistency with GC priorities.
- Support internal communication and promotion of IRP initiatives to enhance awareness and engagement.
- Work closely with the VP Industry Office to translate industry strategy into scalable IRP initiatives.
- Facilitate feedback loops between industry partners, academic schools, and the VP Industry Office for continuous improvement.
- Liaise with designated government agencies and industry partners for joint initiatives and capability‑building activities.
- Serve as primary contact for operational and programme‑related matters, escalating strategic issues to senior stakeholders.
- Support formation and coordination of interest groups and cross‑school project teams involved in external engagements.
