Assistant Director – Internal Audit

About the role

You will join AGD’s Assurance Group as an Assistant Director in the Internal Audit Shared Services Directorate, providing internal audit and financial services to government ministries. The role supports the Head of Assurance in delivering audit engagements that give the Audit Committee confidence in internal controls and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Assurance in planning and executing audit engagements across public sector entities.
• Provide reasonable assurance to the Audit Committee on the adequacy of internal controls and compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.
• Identify and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes.
• Conduct risk assessments and apply data‑analytics techniques to support audit findings.

Required profile

• Tertiary education in Accountancy.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in internal audit.
• Professional qualifications such as CA or CIA are preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work collaboratively with management at all levels.
