Assistant Director / Senior Manager, Operations (Eye)

About the role

Tan Tock Seng Hospital, an anchor hospital of NHG Health and one of Singapore's largest multidisciplinary hospitals, is seeking a strategic leader to join its Operations (Eye) department as Assistant Director, Operations. Reporting to the Director, Operations (Eye), the role shapes service delivery, drives operational excellence and advances patient-centred care. It suits a leader who partners with clinicians, multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to deliver sustainable, value-driven care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day operational management of the Eye Clinics for efficient, high-quality service delivery.
• Partner with clinical leaders to design and implement patient-centric initiatives that improve care experience and outcomes.
• Drive strategic projects and service transformation aligned with TTSH and NHG Health priorities.
• Develop business cases and innovative care models supporting sustainable growth.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders to review and strengthen departmental strategies, workplans and performance outcomes.
• Optimise resource use, strengthen financial stewardship with Finance, and improve corporate governance and risk management.
• Improve workflows, advance patient safety, quality assurance and continuous improvement, and benchmark against industry best practice.
• Support departmental business plans, monitor KPIs and value measures, and turn performance data into actionable improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above preferred.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in management; experience in a large organisation is advantageous.
• Healthcare management experience, especially in healthcare operations, preferred.
• Experience leading a team.
• Good organisational, coordination, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passionate, driven and service-oriented, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
