Assistant Director, Strategic Ops Research & Analytics

About the role

Woodlands Hospital, part of NHG, is seeking an experienced data leader to drive the use of advanced analytics, data science and enterprise data platforms across the organisation. The role goes beyond traditional reporting: it shapes how data is governed, accessed and leveraged to generate actionable insights for clinical, operational and corporate decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with hospital leaders on evidence-based analytics to solve complex business and healthcare challenges, and develop predictive and quantitative models.
• Support Synapxe and Group Digital Health with the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Analytics Workbench, including governance, optimisation, adoption, training and quality and security standards.
• Design enterprise dashboards covering operations, finance, manpower, quality, safety and patient care, and promote self-service analytics.
• Support clinical teams with analytics for quality of care, resource planning and population health initiatives.
• Mentor junior data scientists and analysts, and contribute to research, knowledge sharing and capability building.

Required profile

• Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Health Sciences, Computer Science, Analytics or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in data science, analytics, business intelligence or a related field.
• Experience with large, complex datasets and with dashboarding, data visualisation, predictive analytics and enterprise reporting.
• Strong communicator, collaborator and mentor, with integrity when handling confidential information.
