Assistant Director, Talent Acquisition

About the role

The Assistant Director (Talent Acquisition) leads a small, agile team within the Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS) to drive end‑to‑end recruitment of mid‑career technology professionals. This senior position blends operational leadership with strategic influence, data analytics, and policy innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and mentor a team of Talent Acquisition specialists to deliver full recruitment cycles.
• Design, maintain, and analyse Talent Acquisition dashboards tracking key performance indicators.
• Translate macro‑employment trends and internal attrition data into advisory reports for senior leadership.
• Review and modernise recruitment policies, compensation benchmarks, and evaluation frameworks.
• Identify and remove structural bottlenecks while managing organisational risk.
• Develop and pilot innovative sourcing channels and partnerships with professional associations.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of end‑to‑end talent acquisition experience.
• At least 2 years of people‑management or team‑lead experience.
• Proven track record hiring mid‑career/senior tech professionals and negotiating compensation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, especially when engaging senior military leaders.
