Assistant Director, Tech & Industry Lead (AMR/Robotics)

About the role

The Digital Transformation cluster drives digital transformation projects across major economic sectors, working with public and private partners on business-technology problems, project seeding, execution and implementation. The team focuses on Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), digital sustainability, Digital Twin and Extended Reality. You will lead a small team in the AMR group and promote the tech and industry development of AMR initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support IMDA's vision for AMR initiatives for enterprises and industries, develop strategies and prioritise value-driven projects
• Identify gaps between users and AMR tech providers and design initiatives to enable large-scale adoption
• Scout new technologies, build networks with partner agencies, multipliers, technology providers, system integrators and research institutes
• Help establish guidelines, standards and policies and build AMR thought leadership
• Scope, administer and project-manage use-case deployments, including budgets, outcome assessment and recommendations for enhancement
• Support communications and marketing to build awareness and encourage adoption
• Recruit officers and plan growth, training and retention of talent

Required profile

• At least a degree in related fields such as Computer Science, Engineering or Robotics
• At least 10 years of experience in the AMR/robotics landscape or relevant domains
• Strong project management skills and experience in strategy development, partner engagements and industry development
• Able to work with ambiguity, visualise outcomes and communicate clearly to stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and presentation skills
