Assistant Electrical Engineer (Control System)

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Electrical Engineer specializing in control systems to join our manufacturing team in Tuas. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience designing, installing and commissioning electrical control solutions for industrial machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Design control panels and electrical systems, produce wiring diagrams and schematics, and select appropriate components.
• Install, test and commission new control systems and machines on the shop floor.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control faults, perform I/O checks, resolve logic issues and carry out repairs or upgrades.
• Configure and fine‑tune servo and stepper drives as well as motion‑control equipment.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation, schematics and compliance records.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software and operations teams to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
• Perform any other ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum NITEC in Electrical Technology (Power & Control) or an equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to work overtime on weekdays or weekends when required.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; training will be provided.

Required skills

• Control panel design and wiring diagram creation.
• Servo and stepper drive configuration and motion‑control tuning.
• Use of MS Office applications for documentation and reporting.
