Assistant Engineer / Senior Assistant Engineer – Water Supply

About the role

WSP is seeking an Assistant Engineer or Senior Assistant Engineer to join the Water Supply (Plants) Department supporting Singapore's water resources at the Kota Tinggi site in Johor. You will be deployed to one of four specialised teams – JRWW Operations, Linggiu/Pipeline, Mechanical or Electrical – and work on a rotating shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Operate water treatment plant equipment to produce potable water meeting WHO, USEPA and local guidelines.
• Conduct water sampling and laboratory tests to ensure water quality stays within control limits.
• Monitor dam instruments, perform routine inspections of the Linggiu Reservoir and pipeline valves.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and inspect mechanical and electrical equipment in the plant.
• Supervise contractor works, manage work orders and purchase orders, and procure parts and tools.
• Carry out administrative duties related to contracts and ensure compliance with specifications.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics) or related discipline.
• Willingness and ability to work a 3‑rotating shift schedule.
• Independent worker with strong teamwork orientation.
