About the role

The Assistant Head Chef supports the kitchen’s operations by implementing business plans, managing manpower, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day activities. Reporting to the Head Chef, this role combines hands‑on food preparation with staff coordination in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in executing business plans related to staffing and resource allocation.
• Prepare food items and monitor quality standards throughout the kitchen.
• Schedule and oversee stock deliveries, and receive orders from stall outlets.
• Resolve conflicts among staff tactfully and maintain a motivated team.
• Train new staff and lead by example, maintaining a well‑groomed appearance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure clear communication and high productivity.

Required profile

• Middle‑management experience in a kitchen or food‑service setting.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for multicultural team coordination.
• Presentable appearance to set a positive example for staff.
