Assistant HR Manager

About the role

RIMOWA, a global luxury travel brand, is seeking an Assistant HR Manager to support HR operations across its Southeast Asia and Oceania (SEAO) region. You will partner closely with senior management to deliver recruitment, talent development, manpower planning, performance management, and employee relations services.

Key responsibilities

• Source, recruit, and onboard high‑quality candidates for office and retail positions.
• Monitor new‑joiner integration and ensure smooth onboarding experiences.
• Identify key talent, collaborate with L&D teams on development and retention initiatives.
• Work with senior stakeholders on organization design and manpower planning based on business needs.
• Serve as the primary HR contact for teams, handling daily employment queries and building trust.
• Visit stores monthly to assess work atmosphere and flag potential labor risks.
• Maintain accurate employee data and oversee data quality.
• Support leave balance management for office and store staff.
• Respond to staff enquiries from various markets.
• Prepare payroll inputs for external payroll vendors in specific SEAO markets.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of HR experience, preferably with exposure to business partnering, recruitment, L&D, or compensation & benefits.
• Experience in multinational, retail‑focused organisations.
• Result‑driven with strong business sense and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging all stakeholder levels.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
