Assistant Librarian, Collection Development & Analytics

About the role

The Student and Academic Services Department at NTU seeks an Assistant Librarian to drive data‑informed collection development and analytics. You will support the university’s teaching and research mission by optimizing information resources and ensuring budget sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct data‑driven collection assessments using professional tools to identify overlaps, gaps, and optimisation opportunities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and automated workflows for timely updates and cross‑team coordination.
• Manage and enhance library‑curated and special collections, promoting accessibility and user engagement.
• Evaluate and negotiate e‑resource subscriptions using evidence‑based metrics, preparing justifications for budget planning.
• Monitor library trends and collection metrics, perform regular anomaly checks, and continuously improve development processes.

Required profile

• Degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in libraries or related industries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Analytical mindset with strong numerical aptitude.
• Organised, detail‑oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Adaptable and committed to continuous learning in a dynamic environment.
