Assistant Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the maintenance operations of motorised access equipment and hoists across active construction sites in Singapore. You will work closely with senior management to ensure equipment reliability, safety compliance and minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for all motorised access equipment and hoists on construction sites.
• Ensure machinery complies with MOM, BCA and WSH standards and coordinate mandatory testing and certifications with Professional Engineers and Authorized Examiners.
• Lead rapid troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical faults to minimise equipment downtime.
• Manage and deploy a team of technicians, electricians and site mechanics while enforcing strict safety protocols.
• Maintain spare‑parts inventory, monitor maintenance expenditures and keep accurate equipment logs.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering maintenance experience in Singapore’s construction, heavy‑lifting or equipment‑rental industry.
• Hands‑on experience with gondolas, MCWPs, PM hoists, gearboxes and electrical control panels is highly preferred.
• Possession of a valid Class 3 driving licence is an advantage.
