Assistant Manager – Building & Facilities Maintenance (Residential Zone)

About the role

NTU’s Office of Development and Facilities Management is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to oversee building and facilities maintenance in the Residential Zones. You will ensure that all residential buildings and services remain fully functional, safe, and aligned with university standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.
• Manage daily and cyclical cleaning programmes, conduct inspections and performance assessments.
• Coordinate upgrading and improvement works, develop proposals, estimate costs, and oversee procurement.
• Supervise BCA periodic structural and façade inspections and follow up on defect rectification.
• Support event organisers with logistical setup and technical requirements.
• Identify maintenance needs, develop cyclical programmes, and derive budget requirements for the Office of Campus Housing.
• Track site progress through meetings and inspections to meet project timelines.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building or facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of building services design, installation and maintenance.
• Self‑motivated, positive attitude and customer‑oriented.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
