Assistant Manager, Cabin Services (Training & Development)

About the role

As Assistant Manager, Cabin Services (Training & Development), you will ensure cabin crew maintain high competence, consistency and confidence through robust performance checks, data‑driven insights and targeted interventions. You will lead the Training Standards Specialist team, close performance gaps and shape development pathways that strengthen the airline’s leadership pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and manage the Training Standards Specialist (TSS) team.
• Oversee quality, consistency and fairness of performance checks and assessments for the entire cabin crew cohort.
• Ensure annual performance checks are completed, prioritising high‑risk or low‑performing crew.
• Review and approve performance check reports with actionable recommendations.
• Conduct regular governance meetings and annual inflight audits of TSS performance checks.
• Track and analyse completion rates, monitor timeliness and quality of deliverables.
• Analyse training evaluations, customer feedback and crew data to identify competency gaps.
• Design and implement targeted interventions such as refresher training, coaching and process improvements.
• Partner with Operations, HR, Safety and other business units to ensure relevance and adoption of training updates.
• Prepare structured updates on training standards effectiveness for leadership stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a training or performance‑standards team.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret crew performance data and customer feedback.
• Experience conducting audits, performance checks and reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across operations, HR and safety functions.
• Ability to design, deliver and evaluate targeted training interventions.
