Assistant Manager – Digital Engineering (BIM)

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Digital Engineering (BIM) will lead digitalisation initiatives across project teams to deliver Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) projects. You will champion BIM, VDC and related technologies, ensuring high‑quality model production and coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Drive digitalisation efforts and act as a BIM/VDC champion within project teams.
• Develop, enforce and continuously improve VDC/IDD standards, BIM templates and 2D/3D family standardisation.
• Lead a team of Digital Engineers/BIM Specialists, monitoring model deliverables for design, documentation and fabrication.
• Oversee shop‑drawing production, submission schedules and BIM documentation directly from models.
• Train and guide the Digital Engineering team in design coordination with clients, subcontractors and technical teams via VDC.
• Create and maintain dashboards for project‑management metrics.
• Pilot construction technologies to enhance project efficiency.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or Architecture with BIM‑related coursework.
• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on BIM experience, preferably with an A‑grade main contractor or consultancy.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Highly adaptable, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in infrastructure or building projects is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Basic knowledge of Dynamo and Civil 3D.
• Experience with 4D Synchro/Fuzor, 5D Cubicost and Power BI.
