Assistant Manager, Faculty Appointments

About the role

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), established in 1981, is one of the university's founding schools, with more than 120 faculty members and over 5,000 enrolled students. The Assistant Manager, Faculty Appointments provides administrative support to the School Chair and faculty, including secretariat support for committees such as the School Search Committee, School Re-appointment Committee, School Review Committee for Promotion and Tenure and the Appraisal Committee.

Key responsibilities

• Handle sensitive and confidential matters and ensure the flow of information to relevant stakeholders.
• Support the School Search Committee, School Reappointment Committee, School Review Committee for Promotion and Tenure and the Appraisal Committee for appointments, reappointments, promotions and appraisals.
• Plan, coordinate and support faculty matters such as contract renewal, re-employment and promotion.
• Identify, plan, implement and enhance operational processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Business discipline or its equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated ability in supporting C-suite executives.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software (Power BI, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Strong written and communication skills, able to write and correspond professionally.
