Assistant Manager – Finance

About the role

AI Singapore (AISG) is seeking an Assistant Manager – Finance to support its finance operations. Based at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, the role will work closely with the Office of Finance, NTU Shared Services and external funding agencies to ensure compliance and efficient financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage non‑grant finance operations for AISG, including payments, invoicing and fixed‑asset administration.
• Support financial planning and monitoring for educational and research collaborations, as well as gifts.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments and follow‑up on outstanding fund receipts.
• Handle enquiries from collaborators or trainees regarding financial matters.
• Assist management with financial reporting, audit preparation and other management reporting tasks.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in finance operations, preferably within a university or research environment.
• Basic understanding of research grant administration and compliance; experience in grant claims is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with researchers, schools, centres and external collaborators.
