Assistant Manager / Manager – Operator Tenancy Management

About the role

The Operator Tenancy Management Department (OTMD) oversees the operation of new hawker centres in Singapore. As an Assistant Manager/Manager you will supervise a portfolio of 2‑3 hawker centres, ensuring operators comply with tenancy agreements and national hawker policies while maintaining smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage contracts and tenancy agreements for 2‑3 hawker centres.
• Monitor operator performance, conduct audit inspections, and review monthly/quarterly reports.
• Handle feedback from stakeholders, prepare incident reports, and ensure timely resolution of service disruptions.
• Maintain and upload tenancy records in the Hawker Centre Management System.
• Certify void reports for vacant stalls and process monthly invoices to operators.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and brief senior management and external partners.
• Engage with government agencies, town councils, grassroots leaders, and other stakeholders as required.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Enjoy field work and comfortable in a hawker‑centre environment.
• Strong understanding of facilities, tenancy, and operational issues.
• Prior experience in project, facilities, estate or tenancy management, enforcement, or contract administration.
• Excellent stakeholder management, conflict‑resolution, and leadership abilities.
• Independent, meticulous, able to multitask under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work after hours, weekends and public holidays when needed.
• Physically fit, fully vaccinated, and possession of a valid driving licence (vehicle ownership advantageous).
