Assistant Manager / Manager / Senior Manager - Integrated Ops Capability (2-Year Contract)

About the role

MPA is seeking a candidate for a 2-year contract to join its newly formed Integrated Operations Capability within the Operations Transformation & Planning Division (OTPD) of the Ops-Tech Cluster. The OTPD ensures that policies, plans and procedures are ready for crisis scenarios and port security and maritime safety, and develops future operating concepts across space, air, sea, sub-sea and cyber domains. The role supports the development of MPA's maritime multi-domain capabilities and innovation strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the initiative to conceptualise, plan, develop, implement and manage an integrated operation hub with Maritime AI and Digital Twins systems for pervasive maritime awareness.
• Conduct feasibility studies and analysis on how emerging technologies can improve systems and products, such as optimised resource planning, automated decision making, anomaly detection and unified responses to maritime incidents.
• Support monitoring of marine environment vitality through an operational forecast system for maritime and port applications.
• Help MPA coordinate with agencies and industry partners on resource optimisation, carbon emission reduction, productivity and safety.
• Own project management, infrastructure and system design, deployment and operations of the integrated operation hub.

Required profile

• Background in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or another engineering discipline.
• Experience integrating multi-domain systems, developing digital twins and IoT technologies.
• Experience in ICT operational systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, good command of English, and crisis leadership, project or system management skills preferred.

Required skills

• Added advantage: geospatial systems, satellite and terrestrial communications, radars, unmanned systems, underwater technologies and cyber capabilities.
• Added advantage: databases, SIEM, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and cloud security.
• Added advantage: command and control, video management and IT application systems.
• Able to use data to build empirical models for system effectiveness and decision making.

Successful candidates receive a 2-year contract initially, with possible extension or permanent appointment.
