Assistant Manager, MSc Programmes

About the role

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the administration and operations of its postgraduate coursework programmes. The role covers end-to-end programme operations, including academic services, admissions, examinations and student engagement, with a focus on efficient processes, compliance with university policy and a high-quality student experience.

Key responsibilities

• Academic services and programme delivery: manage the programme lifecycle (course registration, candidature, graduation), support curriculum planning, OBTL submissions and academic scheduling, coordinate internship and research project courses, maintain accurate records and support data management and reporting
• Admissions and enrolment: monitor the admission cycle, track applications, offers and acceptances, verify applicant documents, support admission and scholarship interviews, and keep accurate admission and enrolment records
• Examinations and academic governance: prepare marklists, perform script checks, enter marks, coordinate examination logistics and support invigilation, and assist with academic misconduct cases
• Student engagement, outreach and events: plan and run student engagement activities and programme events, support information sessions and networking events, and handle event communications and logistics

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in any discipline
• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in tertiary education preferred
• Strong organisational, analytical and coordination skills
• Meticulous, responsible, able to work independently and in a team

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Familiarity with academic administration systems preferred
