Assistant Manager – Outsourced Accounting (Business Process Solutions)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead its Outsourced Accounting practice within Business Process Solutions. You will manage a portfolio of clients, ensure high‑quality delivery, and act as the primary liaison for client inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a portfolio of outsourced accounting clients, delivering timely and quality services.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the main point of contact.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Review junior team members' work for compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and provide tailored accounting solutions.
• Monitor client budgets, ensuring efficient resource use and financial goal adherence.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
• Stay current on industry trends and accounting regulation changes.
• Prepare and present financial reports with insights and recommendations.
• Ensure timely invoicing and manage collections.
• Participate in system improvements, change projects, and business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; CA Singapore or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and independent work capabilities.

Required skills

• Technical accounting expertise, including consolidation/group reporting.
• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Familiarity with US GAAP (advantageous).
