Assistant Manager - Procurement

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Procurement will lead the development and execution of sustainable sourcing strategies, ensuring alignment with the company’s ESG objectives. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to optimise procurement processes and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement plans, including strategic sustainable sourcing initiatives.
• Manage relationships with internal teams and external suppliers in line with procurement guidelines.
• Execute the procurement technology roadmap to automate routine tasks and support ESG policies.
• Design supplier selection processes, evaluation criteria, and tender procedures.
• Recommend inventory requirements and oversee inventory planning, tracking, and replenishment.
• Assess supplier performance on quality, delivery, and risk.
• Handle customer dissatisfaction cases and manage CRM programmes under ESG policies.
• Leverage data analytics to generate performance insights for strategic decisions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and market trends to boost productivity.
• Provide on‑the‑job training, performance evaluation, and risk management support.
• Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and regulatory standards, maintaining organized documentation.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain or equivalent certification.
• 5–8 years of relevant procurement or purchasing experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
