Assistant Manager, Prospect Research

About the role

The University Advancement Office at NTU is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead prospect research initiatives. In this role you will support the university’s fundraising goals by identifying and analysing potential donors, providing fundraisers with high‑quality research profiles that drive engagement and philanthropy.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and prioritize prospective donors for university fundraising campaigns.
• Conduct in‑depth prospect analysis and produce detailed research reports.
• Maintain and update donor databases and information management systems.
• Collaborate closely with the Fundraising Team to ensure accurate due‑diligence and profile creation.
• Uphold compliance, ethical standards and data‑privacy requirements in all research activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum three years of experience managing customer‑relationship databases and performing due‑diligence, preferably in a fundraising or nonprofit environment.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities with a track record of synthesising complex information into actionable insights.
• Excellent written communication skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team, managing multiple tasks and tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
