Assistant Manager, Reefer – Shipping Carrier

About the role

The client, a global leader in shipping and logistics, is expanding its Reefer team and seeks a proactive Assistant Manager to design and execute pricing strategies for temperature‑controlled cargo. This role focuses on profitability, market competitiveness, and supporting growth in the project cargo segment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage pricing frameworks for niche reefer cargo, incorporating market trends, competition, and cost structures.
• Collaborate with regional offices and agents to coordinate cargo requirements and space allocation.
• Continuously refine pricing models to drive revenue while balancing customer needs and operational efficiency.
• Leverage data and analytics to assess pricing performance and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Support the sales team by guiding booking processes and ensuring rapid turnaround for project cargo shipments.
• Analyze market conditions and competitive landscape to anticipate demand and supply shifts.
• Build relationships with clients and partners to identify opportunities and align services with specific needs.
• Contribute to business development initiatives aimed at expanding the customer base in the project cargo sector.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Maritime Studies or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pricing, pricing management, or a similar role within logistics or the maritime industry.
• Strong understanding of market trends and pricing strategies for specialized cargo operations.
