Assistant Manager (Security, Transport & Fire Safety)

About the role

National University Health System (NUHS) is recruiting an Assistant Manager for its JurongHealth Campus (Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital). Reporting to the Senior Manager (Security & Transport, Fire Safety), the role manages and improves the day-to-day operations of Security, Carpark and Mortuary functions, while supporting the Senior Manager on Transport and Fire Safety matters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily security and carpark operations, including patrols, access control, surveillance, incident response and investigations
• Oversee CCTV, access control, intrusion prevention and alarm systems, and carpark services
• Oversee mortuary operations, ensuring safe, respectful handling of deceased patients, compliance with identification, storage and release procedures, and dignified service to next-of-kin
• Support the Senior Manager on transport continuity, contingency planning and service recovery
• Support the Fire Safety Programme, including inspections, audits, emergency exercises and evacuation support
• Ensure compliance with policies, SOPs and regulations through audits, inspections and corrective action tracking
• Develop and update operational SOPs, monitor vendor performance and analyse operational data to identify risks and improvement opportunities
• Lead the Security workforce, mentor supervisors, manage manpower and training needs, and drive continuous improvement

Required profile

• Recognised Bachelor's degree or equivalent; a degree in security, emergency/crisis management, public safety, workplace safety, health and environment, healthcare administration or a related field is preferred
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in security, emergency preparedness, transport operations, public safety, healthcare operations or related fields
• At least 1 year of leadership experience managing multidisciplinary operational teams
• Experience in healthcare operations, protective security or emergency preparedness is advantageous
• Advantageous: TOPSIS, Protective Security, Risk Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity Management or Workplace Safety and Health certifications
