Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

Woodlands Hospital, part of NHG, is looking for an Assistant Manager or Senior Assistant Manager in Financial Planning & Analysis. The role sits within the finance team and supports strategic decisions through financial analysis and data-driven insights, working with department heads, senior management and operational teams on financial planning, performance monitoring and resource allocation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver financial analysis and reporting, including monthly departmental performance reviews comparing actual results against budgets and identifying areas for improvement
• Support annual revenue forecasting and projection cycles so financial planning aligns with organisational objectives
• Carry out costing and pricing analysis for services, programmes and new healthcare initiatives
• Provide financial analytics support for value-based care initiatives
• Help understand system relationships and end-to-end financial processes to improve workflow efficiency
• Assist in system implementation and setup, including user acceptance testing
• Perform feasibility, cost-benefit and scenario modelling for new and existing projects
• Manage ad hoc financial projects as assigned

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Statistics or Business Analytics
• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant work experience in financial analysis or a related field
• Experience in healthcare with management accounting or data analytics is an advantage

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP financial systems
• Financial modelling skills; experience with Tableau or other analytical tools is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication
