Assistant Nurse Clinician – Ang Mo Kio

About the role

The Assistant Nurse Clinician will work closely with the Nurse/Care Manager to deliver safe, cost‑effective, high‑quality nursing care to patients in Ang Mo Kio. This role requires strong clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and the ability to collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Implement patient care plans in collaboration with the MDT, based on assessed needs and health conditions.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges while monitoring patient progress.
• Recognise early signs of clinical deterioration, perform appropriate assessments, and escalate care promptly.
• Execute physicians’ treatment and investigation orders, and assist with bedside procedures.
• Provide patient and family education on disease progression, prevention, and rehabilitation.
• Review infection‑control practices, ensure compliance, and identify improvement areas.
• Support training of nurses and students, and supervise the use of medical equipment and EMR systems.
• Assist supervisors in resource management and budget adherence.

Required profile

• Advanced/Diploma or Bachelor in Nursing.
• Valid practicing license with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Demonstrated clinical competence, decision‑making ability, and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Operation of medical equipment used in patient care.
